Do you know how affiliates work?  It's brilliant ~ because it offers you, the Internet browser, a  service without costing you any extra.

Suppose you find someone offering a service for £1 you buy it and find it good.  You add an affiliate  link to that site and for every new signing via your link the supplier pays you 20p.  

The customer (you) doesn't pay any more, it still costs you £1, but you have been recommended  from a source you have confidence in and (on this site at least) you know exactly what you are  buying into.
