I will assume you are starting from scratch. We will need to understand some terms, but I will use plain English throughout. Ideally, you should read this category through at least once, as some things (particularly names) are interdependent. If you decide to use the process as written (strongly recommended) then you can work through the set-up tasks in the order listed.

If you are new to electronic books/on-line affiliates etc one of the powerful elements are the links to related data. You have to have an Internet connection for these to work, however whenever you see blue underlined text you can click on it to see Internet content. Try it now.

Also if you are new to this game, you may wonder why some words are mashed together. MyMailAccount not My Mail Account. Often script files use these (more later) and these files hate spaces. Turning the above into the even less readable My%20Mail%20Account.

What is not included in this category is a guarantee you will make money, nor detailed instructions how to drive your sales ~ that part (the hardest part, be warned) is outlined in the next category, Setting up. If you follow this guide, you will have a working import, display, sales and delivery process. You will also receive guidance on the next steps to take, and how to get more information.

Do you think you can set up an e-store/affiliate program and it will run in the background? If so reading this blog is the best time you will ever spend because

IT DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT! There! I have said it again.

Like any business, getting stock, pricing it, finding customers and the various costs all help to make this a loss maker. There are ways to turn this around, described below, but it takes work, effort and time. You read it here first.

Note: There are many ways to skin a cat, this is simply one. It is tried and proven, however if you have a favourite element (a different auction site for example) simply use your preference for that section.

Throughout this blog, I will be referring to supporting programs. By this, I mean things like on-line image storage, and sales support tools. Many are free (and all are part of my process). The value of this blog is not simply for the words you are reading, good though they are!, It is also for the links to supporting programs. Interestingly you are also reviewing the links that are NOT there to programs which I have discarded along the way ~ I’m not asking you to repeat my mistakes :-) .

Beginners should follow a simple step by step process (1, 2, 3 etc) but more experienced folk can cherry pick hot topics.
